Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker player on the globe by quite a few of the top-ranked pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His papa taught Phil one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wanted to learn anything he possibly could about the game. Phil routinely would tell his grandparents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. Phil started playing intently after acquiring a false ID with the name of Jerome. He practiced his abilities at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. Phil made a decision to take his skills to the next level and headed out west to Vegas. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Ivey credits his success to dedication and an eternal love for poker. He states that he’s learning every single day and is very humble about his accomplishments. Phil knows he makes mistakes in each game of poker and always aspires to improve.
Despite the fact that Ivey has come first in some large tournaments, he favors winning cash games on a regular basis.
