Texas Holdem is all about players and position. All knowledgeable Holdem players concur that position in no boundary Hold’em is fundamentally important. Playing your hole cards in last spot could be much more beneficial than in starting poker position. This is seeing that much more information is amassed right before acting.

As an example, I played in a $1-$2 no limit money match at a local poker room. I limped in with 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier marker, so I could see some action. Flop arrived A-A-4. A gambler in starting spot placed a fifteen dollar wager. Two players drop out and it was now my turn. I really should have dropped out, but something felt a little odd. I ID’d this person as a weak-tight guy, and usually if he held the strongest hand he would only check, so I called.

The turn came down with a 7, making it A-A-4-7. My opposer laid a further wager of $20. I hesitated a bit, but made a decision to re-raise an additional $30thirty dollars over and above his $20. He folds and I take the cash.

Sitting at late spot offers you an idea where you are positioned by seeing how other enthusiasts carry oneself and bet. On the flip side, individuals at starting spot may use their poker position to check-raise the late positioned aggressors and trap them later at the end. In Hold’em, both spots, last and starting should be wagered carefully.
