Limit hold’em Poker is the most loved variation of texas holdem poker, drawing many novice poker players. The reason it’s so popular is because the gambling is not overly aggressive. The stakes are not high and because the betting is constrained, you can simply compete with little or no money.

If you are playing at a 50c/$1 Limit texas hold’em Poker game, the wagering will be limited to values of 50 cents for the pre-flop and flop, and one dollar on the Turn and River rounds.

In Limit poker games the best poker hand by and large wins, because players are more likely to remain in the game and cause a showdown. If you were wagering in a NL Poker Room gamblers are more likely to drop out prior to the turn or river, than chance squandering a large piece of their bankroll.

Tricking in Limit rounds is not very common, because it is not too costly for your opponent to call if she thinks that you might be attempting to bluff them.

If you’re playing at a lower-limit table and you’re handed a powerful hand you will need to try to maintain as many players in the hand as possible. Attempt checking if you are one of the first to place a wager, this should fool most gamblers into thinking your cards are weak.

The key is to draw as many wagers out of your competitors without exposing that you’re in a strong spot.

In low-limit poker rounds you should keep a lookout for pre-flop hands that are no fewer than 9s or higher pair, or two big rank unpaired cards.
